South Korea's FLC purchases about 55,000 T of feed wheat, traders claim

The Feed Leaders Committee of South Korea (FLC) purchased 55,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat on Friday in a private transaction without holding an international tender.

Wheat was bought at a price of $263.99 per ton, c&f. Plus a surcharge of $1.50 per ton for port unloading. The seller was thought to be ADM, a trading house.

Arrival of wheat in South Korea should be around August 30. If the wheat is sourced from Australia, Canada, or the Pacific Northwest Coast of the United States, it will arrive between July 27 to August 15.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.

The FLC purchased 65,000 tons feed corn on Thursday in a private deal. This deal was preceded by a separate purchase of 55,000 tons feed wheat on Friday, made by the South Korean importer MFG. Michael Hogan, Reporter
