Fire department reports three deaths in helicopter crash near Los Angeles

Los Angeles Fire Department posted on social media that three people were killed, and another was taken to hospital following a helicopter crash in the Chatsworth neighborhood of Los Angeles.

According to the fire department, four patients were evaluated at the scene. Three of them were pronounced dead, and the fourth was 'transported in unknown condition to a hospital local,' according?to the fire service.

Fire department officials said that the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate this crash.

The helicopter crash occurred after a vehicle accident in the area on Tuesday involving a Los Angeles Metro bus, a passenger car and at least two other people.

According to media reports, it was a TV?news helicopter that crashed, since several TV news helicopters had been in the area, reporting on the 'bus collision.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass expressed her "devastation" at the loss of life caused by the 'helicopter crash and bus collision in Chatsworth. She thanked emergency responders for their 'quick response.
