Polish freight company PKP Freight to lay off about 30% of workforce

Poland's largest freight company PKP Cargo plans to lay off as much as about 30% of its workers, it stated on Wednesday, as it looks for to escape its financial problems.

The state-owned group, which utilizes about 14 thousand crew members, aims to conclude redundancies by the end of September. It said it would divulge redundancy expenses in a future update.
