Saudi Arabia bids for 595,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim

European traders reported on Thursday that Saudi Arabia's General Food Security Authority, the country's purchasing agency, had issued an international bid to purchase an estimated 595,000 metric tonnes of wheat.

The deadline to submit price offers is Friday Dec. 13 traders have said. Results are expected Monday Dec. 16.

They said that ten consignments of wheat with 12.5% protein were needed, with shipments to ports in Jeddah and Yanbu of 60,000 tons, plus 55,000 tons for Jizan.

The arrival of these pigs is expected in 2025 between February and April. They can come from any global source.

Total 180,000 tons are involved in the 60,000-ton shipments to Jeddah. The individual shipments should arrive between March 1-15 and March 15-31, as well as April 1-15.

Total 240,000 tons are involved in the 60,000-ton shipments to Yanbu. The individual shipments should arrive between February 15-28 and March 1-15.

Total 120,000 tons are involved in the 60,000-ton shipments to Dammam. Arrival of individual shipments is sought between February 15-28 and from March 15-31.

A 55,000-ton shipment to Jizan, due to arrive between April 15 and April 30, is being sought.
