PipeChina links pipeline to brand-new southeast China LNG terminal

PipeChina, a stateowned oil and gas facilities firm, has launched a pipeline connecting a brand-new melted gas terminal in the southeastern province of Fujian to the national gas grid, the Fujian government said on Wednesday.

The 120-kilometer (74.56 miles) pipeline, which is designed to transport 4.2 billion cubic meters of gas a year, comes from at Zhangzhou terminal that launched operations in May and has the ability to handle 3 million metric tons of the super-chilled fuel annually.

The new pipeline will allow gas circulation into the national grid that feeds close-by provinces such as Jiangxi and Hunan, the government stated.

Zhangzhou terminal now runs 3 LNG tank each sized 160,000 cubic meters and a berth able to anchor vessels sized between 80,000 and 270,000 cubic meters.
