According to European traders, the Tunisian state grain agency purchased approximately 100,000 metric tonnes of soft wheat on Thursday and approximately 50,000 tons durum at an international auction for the same volume.

The wheat was purchased in four consignments of 25,000 tons, traders said. The trading house Buildcom is believed to have sold 2 consignments at $244.77 a ton, including freight and cost (c&f). Viterra sold 1 consignment for $247.94 and Promising International sold another at $248.50.

The traders said that the durum had been purchased in two consignments of 25,000 tons, both from Casillo trading house at $329.67 a ton and $331.49 per ton c&f.

They said that wheat shipment is requested between July 25 and August 30, depending on the origins selected for supply. The shipment of durum is between July 25 and September 15, depending on the origins.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later. (Reporting and editing by Michael Hogan)
