Turkey to meet Instagram officials after access restriction, minister states

Turkey's government will hold talks with Instagram officials on Monday after obstructing access to the social media platform recently, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu stated in a post on X.

The move followed a senior Turkish official implicated Instagram of blocking acknowledgement posts following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, leader of the Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Uraloglu stated Turkey had actually revealed specific level of sensitivities relating to compliance with Turkish laws in a previous conference with agents of Instagram recently.
