Dutch power grid group TenneT to spin off German business

Dutchowned power grid group TenneT said on Tuesday it will separate its companies in the Netherlands and Germany in order to assist in growth and a. potential sale of its German arm.

The Dutch federal government has been weighing choices for the. German activities of state-owned TenneT given that talks on a direct. sale to the German government ended previously this year.

TenneT said it had designated its chief operating officer Tim. Meyerjuergens to become CEO of the German organization after the. split, which will work from Jan. 1, 2025.

It stated it was still evaluating with the Dutch state choices. for a prospective personal financial investment in the German arm.

The Dutch government said in September it would provide. TenneT with an overall of 19 billion euros in loans through 2026,. to fund the big investments in the grid needed to assist with. the shift far from fossil fuels.
