Algeria tenders to buy soft wheat for shipment to 2 ports only, traders say

Algeria's state grains agency OAIC has actually issued a worldwide tender to purchase soft milling wheat for delivery to two ports just, European traders said on Monday.

The tender looked for a nominal 50,000 metric heaps but the shipment to two ports typically suggests a small purchase is planned, traders stated.

The deadline for submission of cost offers in the tender is Wednesday, June 26, with deals having to remain valid until Thursday, June 27.

The wheat is sought for shipment in a number of periods from the primary supply regions consisting of Europe: Aug. 1-15, Aug. 16-31, Sept. 1-15, Sept. 16-30, Oct. 1-15 and Oct. 16-31.
