South Korea bought approximated 204,600 T rice generally from China, traders state

South Korea's statebacked AgroFisheries & & Food Trade Corp. bought an estimated 204,600 metric tons of rice generally to be sourced from China in an international tender which closed previously in July, European traders said on Monday.

The purchase consisted of about 174,600 tons of brief brown rice from China, purchased between $876 to $882 a load c&& f, they said.

It also consisted of about 17,000 lots of medium brown rice from the United States bought at $839 a heap c&& f and some small volumes from Thailand and Vietnam, they stated.

Most sales were made by Korean trading home Posco, they stated, with two others making smaller sized sales. The rice was for arrival in South Korea in between August 2024 and June 2025, they said.

Reports reflect evaluations from traders and further price quotes of rates and volumes are still possible later on.
