Three foreigners killed in Nepal bus crash

Police said that a passenger bus, which was parked on a mountainous road, slid 200 meters (650 feet) before sunrise in the west of Nepal, killing 19 people, including three foreigners.

One British, one Chinese and one Indian were among those who died. The bus carried 44 passengers.

Police said that a 'New Zealander and Chinese national' were among the 25 people injured when the bus, which was heading to Kathmandu from the tourist town of Pokhara, fell off the road in Behighat, Dhading District, about 80 kilometers (50 miles), west of the capital. It was added that the injured were being treated in 'hospitals in Kathmandu.

In Nepal's mountainous regions, where roads are in poor condition, road?accidents?are frequent. ?Hundreds die in road crashes in Nepal annually. The government said it had ordered an investigation.
