Embraer bumps up quote for international traffic growth in next two decades

Brazilian planemaker Embraer anticipates international guest traffic in the next 20 years to grow at a quicker pace than it had formerly projection but sees less room for local aircraft shipments, it said on Tuesday.

WHY IT is very important

Flight grew right after the pandemic but airline companies cautioned at the Farnborough Airshow this week that demand has been normalizing as tourists baulk at greater fares while carriers deal with shipment hold-ups and supply chain constraints.

Embraer is the world's third-largest planemaker and focuses on up-to-150-seat aircraft, sitting simply listed below Jet' and Boeing's best-selling A320 and 737 families and equaling the Airplane A220.

SECRET PRICES ESTIMATE

Pandemic aftershocks, like supply chain disturbances, the deceleration of the international economy, and uncertainties from multiple geopolitical disputes will continue to affect the market, Embraer's commercial air travel head Arjan Meijer stated.

The marketplace sizes and demand patterns are just too different to support a fleet method focused exclusively on bigger airplane. Our company believe an optimal mix of sub-150-seat jets and bigger narrowbodies is more conducive to the brand-new environment.

BY THE NUMBERS

Embraer stated traffic as determined by profits passenger kilometers (RPK) should grow at a yearly rate of 4% between this year and 2043, above the 3.2% development it had anticipated last year for the 2023-2042 duration but still below pre-pandemic.

China and Asia would drive development in the next 20 years with a 5% annual expansion, while Latin America, Europe and The United States and Canada would publish growth of 4.9%, 3.3% and 2.4%,. respectively.

Need for new up-to-150-seat airplane over the next 20. years was estimated at 10,500, a deceleration from the 11,000. brand-new airplanes forecast last year. Their market price would amount to. $ 640 billion.
