Two suspects are arrested after five people were shot dead in northern Germany

Local media reported that the incident took place near a youth center in central Stade. This is a small town west of Hamburg, with a population of a little under 50,000. The spokesperson refused to provide any further details.

Police had warned residents of the area to stay away from the scene shortly after the incident.
