Bangladesh receives offers for 50,000 T of wheat

European traders reported that the lowest bidder in an international tender by Bangladesh's state grain buyer for the purchase and import of 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat was $301.38 per metric ton.

Agrocorp, a trading company, is believed to be the source of the offer. Traders said that offers are still being reviewed and no purchases have yet been made.

Bangladesh does not usually make decisions immediately about the purchase of wheat. It can take time for a decision to be made.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.

Traders reported that two other bids were made in the tender for ton liner-out, with DMCC Agro submitting a $303.20 offer and Cereal Crops submitting a $306.75.

Liner out costs includes ship unloading for the wheat seller.

The contract stipulates that the shipment must be made within 40 days of signing. The wheat can come from anywhere in the world except Israel.
