Turkey buys 12,000 T of sunflower oil at a tender, traders report

The Turkish state grain board TMO purchased approximately 12,000 metric tonnes of crude sunflower oil as part of a tender that sought up to 18 tons and closed on Thursday.

According to traders, about 6,000 metric tonnes was purchased from Yayla and delivered to the port of Tekirdag for an estimated cost per metric ton (c&f) of $1,208.90.

Aves is thought to have sold another 6,000 metric tonnes for delivery to Mersin/Iskenderun at an estimated $1.209 per metric ton C&F for delivery to Mersin/Iskenderun.

All purchases made in TMO tenders will be confirmed later. Purchases may be cancelled or reduced.

Delivery is requested between April 2 and 21.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later. Michael Hogan is reporting.
