U.S. PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris pushed Republican Donald Trump to the back foot at a heated presidential debate on Monday, with a series of attacks on his abortion restrictions, fitness for office, and his many legal problems. Both candidates were looking for a moment that would change their campaign in a closely contested election.

AIRBUS:

The head of European aircraft manufacturer Airbus stated that the novel open-rotor engine technology being tested by CFM International promises efficiencies and emissions reductions, but "the jury is still out" as to whether or not it will be commercially feasible.

CARREFOUR:

French retail distribution group Carrefour placed 750 million euros in 8-year sustainability-linked bond with a coupon of 3.625% per annum and maturity and payment in october 2032.

NEOEN:

The French renewable energy firm Neoen has won 170MWp of solar project in the ress4 tender in Ireland.

SAFRAN:

Safran, a French high-tech company, announced that it would acquire Component Repair Technologies to expand its MRO networks. The transaction is expected to be complete by the end 2024.

SAINT-GOBAIN:

Compagnie de Saint-Gobain has entered exclusive negotiations with PAM Building and its sanitary drainage and rainwater drainage businesses. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2024.
