Algeria purchases 360,000 to 390,000 T wheat in tender, traders say

Algeria's state grains agency OAIC has acquired about 360,000 to 390,000 metric tons of milling wheat in a worldwide tender that closed on Tuesday, European traders stated.

Preliminary purchases were reported at about $262.50 a metric heap cost and freight (c&& f) included, they said. Some put the most affordable rate at $262 a lot c&& f.

The purchase was said to involve substantial Black Sea supplies, consisting of Russian and Ukrainian wheat.

There was additional market speak about diplomatic tension between Algeria and France impacting the tender, with traders anticipating no French wheat to be supplied.
