Tunisia purchases approximately 125,000 T of barley at tender, traders report

European traders reported that Tunisia's state grain agency purchased approximately 125,000 metric tonnes of animal feed barley at an international auction on Tuesday.

Dreyfus sold another 25,000 tonnes at $236.30 per ton.

Cargill sold two other consignments of 25,000 tons at $232.47 per ton and $233.88 per ton, c&f.

Viterra sold another 25,000 tons for $239.96 per ton, c&f.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is possible to estimate prices and volume later.

The grain can come from a variety of origins. It is required in five consignments ranging between 25,000 and 50,000 tons, depending on the origin chosen.

The World Bank is providing the funding for this tender, as it is one of the organizations helping Tunisia with its financial problems. Reporting by Michael Hogan, Gus Trompiz and David Goodman.
