Two people harmed in Russian drone attack on Kyiv area, Ukraine states

Debris from Russian drones shot down by Ukraine have hurt 2 people and harmed two homes in the area surrounding the capital in the second such attack on the location in as numerous nights, Kyiv authorities stated on Thursday.

There were no direct hits to residential or vital facilities, the authorities said. The air force said it had shot down all seven Shahed-type drones used in the attack.

The strike came a day after Ukraine stated Russia utilized 87 drones against Ukraine in one of its largest drone attacks of the war to date. Russia launched its full-scale intrusion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The guv of the central-eastern Dnipropetrovsk area said the flying force shot down one drone over the region and no casualties were reported.

Russia also introduced Iskander-M ballistic rockets at the battered northeastern region of Kharkiv overnight, hurting one more person, its guv stated.

Ukraine's nationwide railways Ukrzaliznytsia said the Russian rocket attack on the area damaged its tracks and power supply facilities, in addition to 2 locomotives, freight and automobile.
