Vietnam's VietJet locations firm order for 20 Jet A330neo jets

Vietnamese budget provider VietJet said on Monday it had actually signed a contract with Airplane to purchase 20 A330neo widebody aircraft, in a deal valued at $7.4 billion based upon the producer's sticker price.

The deal was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow, the airline company said in a declaration, and confirmed a. February report that VietJet had agreed to a. provisionary deal to order the aircrafts.

According to Vietnam's air travel authority, the overall number. of planes being operated by local airlines in July fell 23% from. a year previously to 167.

Only 82 of flag carrier Vietnam Airlines fleet of. 96 are in use, while VietJet is operating just 73 of its fleet. of 85, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of. Vietnam.
