Australia's Woodside Energy to supply liquid hydrogen to Singapore's Keppel

Australia's Woodside Energy will provide liquid hydrogen to Singapore's Keppel to power its information centres, the business said in a joint declaration on Monday.

The business signed a conditional offtake term sheet, which tables industrial concepts that may pave the way for an eventual binding offtake agreement for the supply of liquid hydrogen from Woodside from as early as 2030.

The term sheet follows an initial agreement in between the companies in April 2023, which entailed possible purchases of about 1,000 metric loads daily of liquid hydrogen by Keppel Data Centres, consisting of supply from Woodside's proposed H2Perth center in Perth.

Keppel intends for the prospective liquid hydrogen supply to type part of a bigger, long-lasting utility-scale lower carbon power portfolio that Keppel is constructing to power its possessions, the companies said.
