Flight constraints raised in Iran

Flight restrictions have been raised in Iran after conditions were deemed safe, state media reported on Monday, shortening the period of flight cancellations announced previously by the Civil Air Travel Organisation.

A representative for the organisation had previously said that flights from all Iran's airports would be cancelled up until 6 a.m. ( 0230 GMT) on Monday from 9 p.m. on Sunday.

After guaranteeing beneficial and safe flight conditions by the Civil Air Travel Organisation, all announced constraints are gotten rid of and airlines are allowed to perform flight operations, state media said 6 hours before the end of the preliminary flight cancellations due date.

The flights were at first cancelled due to functional constraints, state media mentioned the representative as stating without supplying more details.

Iran carried out restrictions on flights on Tuesday when it launched rockets at Israel, in an attack to which Israel promised to respond.
