Maersk raises revenue outlook on strong market

Danish shipping group A.P. MollerMaersk said on Monday it had raised its fullyear forecasts on the back of strong 3rd quarter results, robust demand and the continuing disturbance to shipping in the Red Sea.

Maersk said it had modified its outlook for international container market volume development in 2024 to around 6% from a series of between 4% to 6% seen formerly.

Maersk reported initial underlying revenues before interest, tax, devaluation and amortisation (EBITDA) of $4.8. billion for the 3rd quarter. Analysts had forecast EBITDA of. $ 3.7 billion for the duration, according to LSEG information.

Revenue was $15.8 billion, beating the $14.4 billion. forecast by experts.
