Ukraine's seaborne grain and oilseed exports in October rose y/y.

The UGA, a trade union, reported that Ukraine's total grain and oilseeds exports by river and sea in October were 5.28 million metric tonnes, a significant increase from the 3.13 millions tons exported one year prior.

Ukraine is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of grains, oilseeds and vegetable oils.

The volume of exports on the Danube and Black Seas was almost 4.8 millions tons.

According to the union, an additional 515,000 tonnes of agricultural cargo were exported via rail and 142,000 tonnes by road.

UGA reported that Ukraine exported 1,65 million tons wheat, 1,93 million tons corn, 716, 000 tons soybeans, 475,000 tonnes rapeseed oil, 458,000 tons sunflower oil, and 350,000 tons barley last month.

According to the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry, the country's grain sales for the July-June 2024/25 season reached nearly 14.7 million tonnes as of November 4, compared with 9.8 million tons on Nov. 6, last year.
