Ukraine lowers oilseeds export in Nov 1-15, traders union says

Ukraine, worldwide major grower and exporter of oilseeds, reduced exports of crucial oilseeds in the initially half of November, Ukrainian grain traders union UGA stated on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian farm ministry does not typically report data on the nation's oilseed and grease exports.

UGA stated exports of soybeans was up to 206,000 metric heaps in Nov. 1-15 from 308,000 loads in Oct. 1-15, while deliveries of rapeseed reduced to 140,000 loads from 293,000 loads.

UGA gave no description for the fall, while analysts APK-Inform stated Ukraine has already exported the majority of its exportable surplus, while markets of the essential importing nations of Ukrainian soybeans were oversupplied with crops of American origin.

The Ukrainian agriculture ministry said the nation collected a record 6 million tons of soybeans in 2024 while the output of rapeseed decreased to 3.45 million loads this year from 4.2 million loads in 2023.

APK-Inform says Ukraine might export 3.47 million tons of soybeans and 3.3 million tons of rapeseed in the 2024/25 July-June season. It stated soybeans export totalled 3.26 million tons in 2023/24 with rapeseed export of 3.7 million heaps.
