Two U.S. officials said on Monday that a U.S. aircraft carriers and accompanying warships had arrived in the Middle East. This would allow President Donald Trump to expand his capabilities for defending U.S. troops or taking military action against Iran.

The president claimed that he was told the killings are subsiding, and he does not believe there is a plan to execute prisoners.
