Air traffic stopped at Netherlands' Eindhoven Airport, officials say

All air traffic stopped at the Netherlands' Eindhoven Airport on Wednesday after an unspecified considerable disruption, the Dutch Royal Airforce stated on Wednesday.

The airforce did not provide any more details on the nature of the disruption at the airport, the 2nd largest in the nation.

However, the Defence Ministry reported IT issues.

Workers are experiencing login issues and sometimes there is an effect on service arrangement since telephone numbers are not obtainable, the ministry said in a statement.

Dutch emergency situation services also reported a national outage which has interrupted its usual alarm and communication system, although it stated that nationwide emergency numbers still worked.

It was not clear if there is a link throughout the interruptions.
