China's power supply to betting center Macau tops 1 mln kW for first time

China's power supply to betting hub Macau has actually gone beyond 1 million kilowatts on a single day for the first time considering that the unique administrative region and neighbouring Guangdong province were connected to the mainland's electrical energy grid.

The State-owned Assets Guidance and Administration Commission of the State Council made the statement on its website on Friday pointing out China Southern Power Grid Business.

On July 1, power supply to Macau went beyond 1 million kilowatts for the very first time, increasing 4.85% from a previous single-day record of 989,000 kilowatts set last year.

In 2023, annual power supply from the mainland to Macau reached 5.327 billion kilowatt hours, a boost of 9.3% and satisfying 90% of Macau's total electrical energy intake.
