Poland seizes liquid drug worth $1.9 mln in red wine shipment

Polish authorities have took 44 litres of liquid drug worth about 7.5 million zlotys ($ 1.85 million) that was hidden in cartons of red wine, the Border Guard said on Tuesday.

Officers from the Maritime Border Guard System in the northern port city of Gdansk dealt with Czech customizeds officers to take the drugs in the Lublin area of southern Poland.

The shipment including top quality white wine along with hidden liquid drug was initially packed onto a container ship in a. Panamanian seaport, a Border Guard statement said.
