UK firm reports surge near ship east of Yemen's Aden

Britain's marine security firm on Saturday reported a small surge near a vessel 170 nautical miles east of Yemen's Aden, a location where Houthi militants have actually been targeting business ships in solidarity with Palestinians.

UKMTO initially said the event took place southwest of Aden.

An armed security team observed a small explosion near the vessel, the UKMTO advisory said, quoting the master of the MV Groton, who stated there was no damage and all crew members were safe.
