HK-based Transportation International's director under UK cops examination

Hong Kongbased Transport International's nonexecutive director, William Louey Lai Kuen, was apprehended and released on bail in the UK in an investigation into an individual matter unrelated to the company, the company said on Tuesday.

The company's statement did not divulge the charges or any information about the examination, nor offer a date of the arrest.

The UK cops did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment, while Louey might not instantly be grabbed comment.

To the very best knowledge, information and belief of the Board, the investigation and the participation of Mr. Louey in the examination do not connect to the existing affairs of the business and do not and will not have any product adverse impact on any of business and day-to-day operations of the business and its subsidiaries, Transport International stated.
