Russia's Lukoil has shut catalytic cracker at its NORSI refinery, sources state

Russia's secondlargest oil manufacturer Lukoil shut operations at its catalytic cracker system (KK1) at the NORSI oil refinery from Nov. 13 for emergency situation repair, three industry sources said on Tuesday.

Lukoil did not immediately respond to an ask for remark.

Among the sources stated that the catalytic cracker was broken. He said it was unclear how long it would take to repair the system.

Another source stated that the concern led to substantial decrease in fuel production on NORSI and Lukoil might have to make up for the missing out on volumes by buying the fuel in the Russian market.

The capacity of the KK-1 catalytic splitting system has to do with 5,710 metric tons of oil daily. The system allows NORSI to produce about 25% of its motor gas or about 1.2 million heaps annually.

The KK-1 unit was idled for upkeep from January to June this year.

NORSI fine-tunes about 16 million lots of crude a year, or 5.8%. of Russia's total refined crude, a leading four amongst Russian oil. refineries. The refinery suffered drone attacks previously this. year.
