TE Connectivity misses out on Q3 revenue estimates amid car production decrease

Sensor maker TE Connection on Wednesday reported thirdquarter revenue that disappointed Wall Street estimates, citing a decrease in car production.

TE Connectivity makes switches and sensors and its products are used in car body and frame systems, in addition to in benefit functions such as infotainment.

Overall net sales for the quarter ended June 28 came in at $ 3.98 billion, falling short of LSEG estimates of $4.01 billion.

Nevertheless, margin in its transport system, which completes with Aptiv, was 21.4%, compared to 17.5%, a year earlier, driven by strong functional efficiency.

TE Connection reported an adjusted profit of $1.87 per share for the noted quarter, somewhat ahead of Wall Street quotes of $1.86 per share.

The business forecast fourth-quarter income of about $4. billion and an adjusted per share revenue of $1.94.
