South Korean mills purchase 40,000 T wheat from the U.S., traders state

A group of South Korean flour mills purchased an estimated 40,000 metric tons of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States in a global tender on Wednesday, European traders said.

The purchase involved numerous various wheat types and was all purchased on an FOB basis for delivery in between Oct. 1-15.

Seller was thought to be trading house ADM, they stated.

The purchase involved 12,590 tons of soft white wheat of in between 9.5% to 11% protein content purchased $233.87 a load FOB, 11,760 tons of difficult red winter season wheat of 11.5% protein bought at $ 267.97 FOB and 15,650 tons of dark northern spring wheat of 14%. protein bought at $275.32 a load FOB, traders stated.
