Egypt's GASC working out large direct wheat purchase, traders state

Egypt's state products buyer GASC remains in discuss a large purchase of wheat in direct negotiations on Tuesday without providing an international tender, traders in Europe and the Middle East stated.

Traders said the volume could include approximately 30 consignments of around 50,000 to 60,000 metric loads.

Russian-origin wheat was stated to be among the origins associated with the talks, however it was unclear whether wheat from other countries might likewise be involved.

This follows GASC purchase of only a small 280,000 tons of wheat in a global tender for as much as 3.8 million heaps on Monday.
