Norris wins at Leopard Creek to take 2nd DP World Tour title

Shaun Norris of South Africa won the Alfred Dunhill Golf Champion at Leopard Creek Nation Club on Sunday after a finalround 67 provided him a 13underpar overall of 275 and a oneshot victory.

It was a second win in the DP World Trip for the 42-year-old, who started with an eagle at the 2nd and got rid of a double bogey on the seventh to take an early clubhouse lead.

Norris started the day 6 off the lead but saw as his challengers fell short on the final holes.

Englishman John Parry, Ryan van Velzen from South Africa and over night leader Marcus Kinhult ended up tied for second, one shot back.

The 23-year-old Van Velzen looked well positioned to sign up with Norris at the top of the leaderboard and require a playoff however he put his ball in the water at the 18th to end up with a 72 for the round.

Parry struck 4 birdies in his opening 6 holes but could not keep the momentum going on the back 9 as he scored 69.

Sweden's Kinhult had actually led by 3 after the 2nd round on Friday, and had a two-shot lead entering into the last round, but four-putted on the seventh for double bogey that saw him lose the lead. He forced his method back into contention however in the end shot a two-over-par 74 for the day.
