Russia declares partial diesel export ban until year-end, extends gasoline ban

The Russian government announced on Tuesday that it has extended the existing gasoline export prohibition until the end the year and imposed a partial export ban on diesel.

Fuel shortages in Russia are a result of a series of attacks by the Ukrainians on Russian refineries.

As Deputy Prime Minster Alexander Novak warned in advance, the measures were not unexpected.
