Taiwan tenders for estimated 104,150 T wheat of US-origin

The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has provided a worldwide tender to acquire an estimated 104,150 metric tons of grade 1 milling wheat to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Friday.

The deadline for submission of cost offers in the tender is also Friday, June 21.

The tender seeks a range of various wheat key ins 2 consignments for delivery from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast.

One consignment of 54,225 lots was sought for shipment between Aug. 25 and Sept. 8, they stated.

A 2nd consignment of 49,925 lots was sought for shipment in between Sept. 12 and Sept. 26.

Wheat types sought consist of dark northern spring, hard red winter season and soft white wheat.

The association's tenders typically supply an accurate photo of U.S. wheat export prices in Asian markets. In its

last reported tender

on May 30, the association purchased 96,850 tons of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States.
