Southern China braces for extremely typhoon Yagi

China's southern provinces and cities braced for the arrival of very tropical cyclone Yagi, shutting schools and delaying flights ahead of its anticipated landfall along Hainan's tropical coast, in what could be the most effective storm to hit in nearly a years.

Yagi reinforced into an extremely tropical storm on Wednesday night and is presently around 610 kms (379 miles) south-east of Xuwen County, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, China's. Meteorological office stated on Thursday.
